First of all my overheads are low ,My studio is a home garage and I am a pensioner so have a small income from that. I enjoy what I do and feel that art should be an affordable commodity and to be honest I would feel quite bad trying to sell my art at some overseas prices. If I am underselling you I respectfully suggest that you purchase my work and re sell it yourselves, I dont mind

I start off by purchasing 3mm or 5mm MDF sheets from our local Mitre 10 or Bunnings. Then, after deciding on a file to use cur the base layers to a size allowing some for wastage. Next I need to add the layer colors and paint each piece, sometimes twice to get a deep color. Once dry they go on the laser table and the computer transmits the cutting / engraving details to the laser. As soon as the laser is done I use damp cloths on the surface to remove any smoke damage from the cuts then transfer the piece to the bench where I remove all the cut out bits. When all the layers have been completed in this way I use a small silicone roller to stick the pieces together starting with the back of the second one and where needed add small clips to aid positioning etc. Once all  together clean up the edges and paint if required, paint the back to make it presentable and add the picture hanging parts. At this point I often burn an aluminum business card with the picture details, name and size etc and stick it to the back of the piece. Finally I spray the piece with a satin uv resistant coating and take pictures etc. Yes, there are quite a few steps but all are enjoyable to me
